Places to eat this weekend in DFW!

Hey there long time no see! I am coming back to you with more exciting collabs and partnerships! Lately I have had the chance to try some amazing restaurants here in DFW. If your looking to try something new, or are wanting to switch it up this weekend... here is my list of some places to definitely check out!

Located: 14875 Inwood Rd, Addison, TX 75001

I had never had Ethiopian food before, and honestly I wasn't even sure what to expect. Yet, this is by far one of my favorite restaurants I have had the opportunity to dine at! That being said you cannot skip out on this place.

The Queen of Sheba Serves authentic Ethiopian, Italian, and Vegetarian food. So they got a bit of everything for everyone. Our server Joe (and guru) took the time to go over the entire dish, explaining how to eat it and different combinations he would recommend. He went above and beyond and explained his culture and the different ingredients that go into the dishes. So when your there ask for Joe he's the best!

The food itself was a wonderful combination of flavors and textures. One moment you will be chewing on something meaty and juicy to the next biting through soft Injera. the injera being the soft wrap that you use to pick up the food with. Our plate was more of a sample plate of all the recommended choices. which included both vegetables prepared in five ways as well as lamb, beef, and chicken. Yes they offer full vegetarian options and its not just one or two choices they have a rather extensive menu so you will always have things to pick from. A lot of their menu items are also large platters that you can share. They do offer alcoholic drinks as well. The coffee is absolutely fantastic, rich in flavor and a great body. The tea another perfect example of a fantastic option especially if you are fond of chai tea.

Now the dessert needs its own special recognition. This is one of those restaurants that I can generally say is worth going to just for the dessert. We got the Queens dome and it was a semi sweet white chocolate mousse over chocolate cake covered in chocolate ganache, garnished with chocolate "shards". This place is so so good I cannot wait to go back!

7001 S Custer Rd Ste 600, McKinney, TX 75070

Calling all Sushi and Burrito Lovers.... Wait what??? Ever heard of a sushi burrito... or better yet a sushi donut?! This place has great flavors and all their ingredients are fresh! We got to try the Wonton Tacos first. When it comes to tacos I am usually a person that goes for spicy but with these I couldn’t help but enjoy them. The wonton was crispy enough to hold together and give it texture while giving way as soon as you bit into it. The pork had fantastic flavor and the sweet sauce complimented everything in a way that worked better than it should.

Next was the Crab Rangoon, it had a creamy inside and a crispy outside. It was also very good and I was left wanting some more haha!

The sushi donut is one you can't skip out on! It is a ball of rice that has been fried to a crispy exterior (In the shape of the donut) then topped with crab, avocado, and some sauces. You got a combination of sweet and savory, while also being crunchy, chewy, and creamy...10/10 !

“Sunday”. Now this is where its at the sushi burrito was fantastic. Its a fried sushi burrito with salmon. I wouldn’t change a thing the way the seaweed was the right amount of crispy from being fried while everything else held its integrity. I would love to try this with chicken instead of the salmon just to try the different textures. Would definitely try this one again

The Strawberry short cake ice cream. They use a nitrogen process to prepare the ice cream. While we didn’t get the ice cream buzzed ( with alcohol ) it was still fantastic. The flavor was rich and unlike other nitrogen ice cream it was creamy and and the texture was beyond smooth. Follow on Instagram

226 Texas St, Cedar Hill, TX 75104

An interesting twist between BBQ and Mexican food. Located inside Ash and Ember Brewery.

The food was very very good. We had the Sliced Brisket Taco, Pulled Pork Taco, Quesadillas, Elote, Charro Beans, and Chips and Salsa! All a perfect combination of sweet, and savory!

The Bar itself is packed you can tell people really love eating and drinking here. The food is great and the environment is fun, it is a great place to come with friends to enjoy some cold beers and some great food.

Make sure to check these guys out on Instagram and defiantly pay them a visit!
